Forma Radiofrequency
Non-invasive skin rejuvenation
What is Forma Radiofrequency?
Forma is a skin technology providing dermal and subdermal heating. Radiofrequency (RF) travels via electrodes to deliver a non-invasive and pain-free treatment. Built-in temperature controls allow the treatment to reach optimal end-points safely and effectively.
Forma can be used on the neck, lower face/jawline & upper face. We usually focus on one area per session for optimal results.
Forma is FDA-approved and safe for all skin types.
How does it work?
After applying a gel, your Advanced skin therapist or Nurse will glide the Forma wand across your skin as it emits gentle but powerful RF energy.
This energy warms the dermal layers, triggering your body’s healing response and collagen-renewal process.
Who is this treatment best suited for?
This is suited to most skin types where the concern is early laxity.
How often should I have this done? [freq/course/maintenance]
Most clients see progressive improvements in skin texture & firmness. Treatments can performed whenever desired, or over the course of 6 recommended treatments (one a week for 6 weeks). Our staff favourite way of using this treatment is by combining it with a HydraFacial (‘Hydratight’) for an instant refresh, glow and lift.
How long does it take?
A single session typically lasts 30-40 minutes. Other than mild transient redness (like a post-facial glow), there is usually no downtime, so you can go right back to your daily activities after your appointment. Avoiding major exercise/saunas for a day or two would be recommended.
It’s a perfect lunch-break skin rejuvenation treatment.
What are the usual pre-treatment guidelines?
As for all skin treatments we ask you to remove makeup prior to arrival so you can get the most from your treatment time.
Skin must be free from infection, coldsores, acute inflammation so treatment can proceed.
What are the usual post-treatment guidelines?
This is a non-invasive treatment so you can return to gentle skincare straight away.
We recommend avoiding major exercise/saunas for 48 hours.
What are the main contraindications?
As with most treatments we avoid this in pregnancy/breastfeeding or isotretinoin treatment in the previous 6 months.
