What is a Chemical Peel?
A chemical peel is a minimally invasive procedure that helps improve the appearance of skin. During the procedure your Medical Professional carefully applies combinations of powerful solutions to the face to remove dead skin cells. The solutions penetrate into the skin causing dead skin cells to peel off. The new skin is smoother and more refined-looking.
There are many types of chemical peel preparations, and the right preparation for you depends on your skin type and desired results. Light or superficial chemical peels usually consist of alpha and beta hydroxyl acids, such as glycolic, lactic or salicylic acid, that are combined to improve the skin’s appearance.
Obagi Blue Peel RADIANCE™
Obagi’s Blue Peel RADIANCE is a prescription-level superficial chemical peel that can be used for a range of skin types.
It’s main active ingredient is salicylic acid, complimented by lactic acid and glycolic acid. It exfoliates and helps improve overall complexion, and can provide smoother, brighter-looking skin after just one peel.
As it is a superficial peel, there is no great recovery time and no need to take time off work as there would be with deeper peels. Skin glows and looks brighter after the first treatment.
A series of 4-6 peels at one month intervals provide best overall results.
Suitable for most skin types including acne, oily, dry & combination. It is not recommended for rosacea-prone skin or for those with aspirin allergy.
Environ Cool Peel
The Environ Cool Peel is a mildly exfoliating lactic acid peel. It is called a ‘cool peel’ as it doesn’t create heat in the skin.
This innovative approach uses levels of lactic acid which achieve measurable results while caring for the epidermis. There is no downtime with after this peel.
This peel is suitable for most skin types, especially problematic skin eg acne, rosacea, oily skin types.
The strength of the peel can be varied, which enables us to create bespoke treatments for our clients.
Light Cool Peel
All the benefits of the Cool Peel, but a lactic acid concentration that is suitable for very sensitive skin, or those who are pregnant/breastfeeding.
HydraFacial
Our genuine HydraFacial Device offers chemical peels as part of our skin treatment protocols. This involves salicylic and glycolic acids. More information here.
NEW Environ TCA Peel
Dr. Des Fernandez, founder of Environ Skincare has researched the ideal TCA treatment to offer effective results in the safest possible concentrations.
The new TCA (trichloroacetic acid) peel from Environ is a superficial chemical peel performed to treat a wide range of skin concerns including:

It is essential to prepare your skin with vitamin A for a minimum of 3 weeks prior to treatment (if you are on high level vitamin A please check with us if you should temporarily stop this for a few days preceding your treatment
The peel can be repeated as often as weekly for a course of 6, depending on your skin’s healing and goals.
