Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty

What is Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is the use of dermal fillers to improve the contour and shape of your nose. It is much less invasive than surgical rhinoplasty, and is also reversible, subtle and more affordable with less downtime.

The procedure takes approximately 15 minutes and starts with the application of a local anaesthetic cream to numb the skin. FDA-approved dermal filler is then injected into carefully chosen areas to achieve your bespoke result.

Both Dr Róisín and Dr Deirdre were trained in the UK by the co-pioneer of this procedure, Dr Ash Labib.

How long does it last?

Results last approximately 12 months for most people.

Who is not suitable for this treatment?

Your suitability for dermal filler treatment will be discussed at your consultation. Some of the situations where dermal fillers should be avoided include: pregnancy breastfeeding, active inflammation (coldsores, skin infection, any infection in the body), certain dental treatments, some medical conditions that affect your immune system and some medications. If you have had previous surgery on your nose this may affect the blood supply to the area.

What are the risks and side effects?

Bruising and swelling may be present after a procedure, therefore it is best to plan dermal filler treatments at least 2 weeks before a major event or holiday. With careful treatment and aftercare potential risks are reduced, but as with any procedure,  it is important to be aware of these. Complications such as infection or vascular occlusion (blockage to a blood vessel) are rare but can occur. It is important that your dermal filler treatment is performed by a fully qualified medical professional with advanced training to keep complication risk to a minimum.

Aftercare

For 24 hours after your procedure we advise no exercise, makeup, glasses or massage.
